Please note: Since synthetic fibers are very strong, this dye requires very high temperatures (close to boiling) to function properly. Instructions for Use (Cooker Method) To dye synthetic, the cooker method is the only one recommended, as a constant temperature of about 93°F (200°C) must be maintained. 1. Preparation Weigh the item: A whole bottle of Rit DyeMore dyes about 500g of fabric (a pair of trousers or two t-shirts). Wash the garment: Make sure the fabric is clean and free of stains. Leave it moist. Protection: Wear rubber gloves and protect the work area (dye stains porous surfaces). 2. Preparing the color bath Fill a stainless steel pot with enough water to allow the fabric to move freely. Heat the water until it starts to simmer (almost to a boil). Shake the bottle of Rit DyeMore well and pour it into the water. Add a teaspoon of liquid dish soap to promote color uniformity. 3. Dyeing process Soak the wet item in the color bath. Maintain temperature: Keep the water at a simmer throughout the process. Stir constantly: This is the most important step. Stir for at least 30-60 minutes. For 100% polyester, you need to stay close to 60 minutes to get a saturated color. 4. Rinse and Wash When you have reached the desired color (remember that it will appear darker when wet), remove the item. Rinse with warm water, then gradually lower the temperature until the water runs clear. Wash the garment in the washing machine or by hand with warm water and a mild detergent, then pat dry. Tips for success Melting point: Be careful with extremely delicate fabrics; although heat is needed, do not boil water violently to avoid damaging the fibers. Dark to light: It is not possible to dye a dark garment with a lighter color. DyeMore is used to change the color of light garments or refresh similar shades. Sample: If possible, always test on a hidden piece of fabric or leftover material.
